Single Mechanical Seal Maintenance

 

 

 

Remove the Seal ring from the rotor case & rotor and inspect 

them. If any seal is damaged, do not re-use and replace it. 

 

Clean both shaft ends and the rotor case before assembling. Push 

the replacing NEW Seal ring into the rotor case O-ring and turn fit 

into the seal pins on the seal body after Rotor Case Assembly 

(Refer to ‘Page 15’). 

 

 

In  order to  disassemble  current  seal body, pull out  the  current 

O-ring and seal body sequentially. 

Upside down the rotor case, then remove ‘SEAL BODY STOP RING’ 

for seal body. 

But, we don’t remove it normally. 

 

 

 

Replace NEW ‘SEAL BODY STOP RING’ for seal body into the rotor 

case. 
 

 

 

Insert  NEW  ‘SEAL  BODY  STOP  RING’  by  hammering  as  shown 

Figure 17. 

 

 

Insert the replacing NEW seal body and O-ring into the rotor case 

sequentially.
