Installing the holder for the IR remote control
A
Increased risk of injury in the event of an accident. Do not install components in the in-
flation range of the airbag or in areas where the head or knees may knock against them.
Secure the holder to the bracket (Fig. 6)
Screw the holder to the bracket. Screw the bracket firmly into position.
Stick on the holder with the plastic plate (Fig. 7)
Engage the holder in the plastic plate. Press the caps onto the latching pins. Pull the pro-
tective film off the self-adhesive plastic plate. Stick on the holder with the plastic plate and
press it firmly into place.
Note:
The installation temperature should be at least 15° Celsius so that the adhesive strip can
develop its full adhesive strength.
Installing the monitor
A
Do not fit the monitor where a person’s head could knock against it.

Always observe the safety measures regarding the driver’s field of vision and the airbag
inflation range.
The monitor can be installed either standing or suspended with the supplied holder,
see Fig. 4. In the case of suspended installation, the display content must be rotated
through 180° (see “System settings” in the operating instructions).
Directly screw on the monitor holder
Screw on the holder without the mounting plate at the required location using two suit-
able screws.
Stick on the monitor holder
1. Screw the mounting plate with the 2 cross-recess screws under the monitor holder.
2. Securely screw the monitor connector to the monitor base with the 2 countersunk
head screws, see Fig. 5.
3. Attach the monitor to the monitor connector until it engages.
4. Define the installation position for the monitor.
5. Pull the monitor off the monitor connector again.
Important:
To pull off the monitor, it is essential to press the unlocking button on the rear of the
monitor connector.
6. Use methyl alcohol (spirit) to remove dirt and grease from the installation surfaces.
7. Remove the protective film from one side of the double-sided adhesive pad and stick
the adhesive pad onto the underside of the mounting plate.
8. Remove the protective film from the underside of the adhesive pad, place the monitor
holder onto the installation surface and firmly press into place.
Note:
The installation temperature should be at least 15° Celsius so that the adhesive pad
can develop its full adhesive strength.
