5.4 Modbus
Certain data from the controller can be made available via Modbus for other applications.
It is not possible for other control equipment to access the Modbus registers. This is because the PROBA 5
Compact is equipped with a firewall.
In order to change the Modbus settings, it is necessary to log in separately. The username and password for this
are not the same as the login details for the web page.
Contact VDH products for the correct login details.
5.4.1 Modbus profiles
A profile must first be created. Various profiles can be created so that each external application can have its own
access rights.
It can be specified whether all registers are made accessible or only certain registers. This is possible for registers
with function code 3, 4 and 6.
After setting, click ‘Submit’ to save the settings.
