11.2 ABC Level

11.2.1 Switch languages
One can select any of 5 languages for operator
instruction.
11.2.2 Mode of operation
It might be chosen between ‚AUTOMATIC‘ and‚ RUN
THROUGH‘.
•
In automatic mode the dipping cycles will be carried
out as soon a product passes the light barrier (21).
The cycle will be only carried out if the actual
temperature is in tolerance with the set temperature.
•
In run through mode the conveyor runs continuously.
If a product passes the light barrier (21), it runs
through the dip tank without a dipping cycle.
11.2.3 Conveyor belts
the intake conveyor may be switched off, if required.
11.2.4 Timer for automatic heating
It is possible to time the heating. The time in which the
dip tank should start to heat, may be pre-selected
between 1 and 99 hours. To activate the timer press
button
START (10). To interrupt the timer function
press button STOP .
NOTICE
Do not switch off the dip tank if the timer is pre-set,
neither through the main switch (16) nor through the
OFF button (3).
11.2.5 Decalcification program
See Decalcifying program
The dip tank has to be decalcified regularly to make
sure there are no problems during production. For this
reason there is a decalcification program fitted. The
decalcification program will be activated with the button
ARROW RIGHT . The adjustments in the decalcification
program are the same as in the program level. The dip
tank starts continuous cycles if the
START button is
pressed. The decalcification program may be stopped
with the
STOP button.
11.2.6 Automatic Cut-Out when Product Feed
stops
The automatic switch-off of the machine when no
products arrive at the photocell (21) can be set for
between 1 and 999 minutes. This function can,
however, also be set to ‘OFF’.
Please note, that the ventilation fan continues to run
on until a definite water temperature is reached, and
that the machine is not switched off when the timer is
set for automatic heat-up (see section 11.2.4).
11.2.7 Mode of Heating
Depending on the model the shrink tank can be
heated electrically and/or with steam.
11.2.8 Hours and Cycles Operated
Under these two program headings the cycles and
hours operated, in total and since the last service, are
reported. Cycles are given in 1000s, a cycle being a
complete immersion process.
After a service has been carried out the VC999
Customer Service will set the operating hours and
cycles from the last service back to zero.
11.2.9 KEY
It is possible to protect the program parameters from
unwanted adjustment. To get access to the key, press
the button combination
HELP, ARROW RIGHT,
HELP as a code. Then select with the button ARROW
UP and the button ARROW DOWN between OPEN
and CLOSED.
11.2.10 EPROM test
The function EPROM test will be used to check the
program store. The button
START activates the
program check, which checks the correctness of the
program store. The program store has to be replaced
through the manufacturer, if there is a check amount
error shown on display.
