horizontal angulation of the mandibular 

condylar axis, the sphenoidal sinus, the 

curvature of the lower jaw, the side wall 

of the maxillary sinus, and zygomatic 

arch fractures. Also used to study the 

inner and outer alar plates and holes at 

base of the skull. 

 

Waters’ view

 

  Used to study the frontal sinus, the 

antrum ethmoidale, the optic disc pit, the 

frontozygomatic suture, the nasal cavity, 

the coronoid process between the upper 

jaw and the zygomatic arch. 

 

Carpus 

  Used to assess hand bone age to
