2. INSTALLATION
Install the heater on wall at a distance of 32 cm minimum from the ceiling and 100 cm from the side walls. (see drawing 1 page 14). The
installation height ranges from to 3,0 m to 4,0 m maximum. The ideal installation is on wall with a 45
° inclination and with the heater placed in
a perfect horizontal way. Varma 400 can also be installed hanging from the ceiling according to the instructions at page 14 drawing 2. Do not
place the heater immediately under a power socket.
3.POSITIONING
Adjust the Varma 400 reflector in the direction of the required heating bundle, when installing on a wall. It is usually a 45
° inclination related to
the horizontal line. The appliance must never be installed on a flammable surface Varma 400 must be placed at a safe distance (clear space)
of minimum 2.0
m. from combustible materials such as: cartons, fabrics, curtains etc. as well as glass walls. If placed in workshops and garages where there
are flammable paints and liquids, Varma 400 must be placed at a minimum distance of 4 m from the source of danger. We suggest not to use
Varma 400 in particularly dusty and closed areas. This could damage the bulb. and turn it on and off must not be within reach of the shower
or bath.
4. MAINTENANCE
The cover and bulb must be kept clean to maintain the heater’s original heat efficiency. Use only denatured alcohol and a clean cloth. Other
products may damage the heater.
5.INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPLACING THE BULB
WARNING - The Varma 400 guarantee does not cover replacement or repair of the bulb. To change the bulb
contact a professionally qualified electrician or assistance service.To change the bulb, follow the instructions
given below in the order indicated.
1.Loosen the screws that fix the rim
2.Remove the two end sides and the cover from the body
3.Remove the bulb from the supports/spring
4.Slide the two silicon washers backwards along the wire for two/three centimetres
5.Extract the two female fastons connected to the male fastons of the bulb or loosen the small screws of the clamp that
connect the bulb pins and the wire.
6.Insert the new bulb in the female fastons and fit the silicone washers back onto the two end sides or insert the pin of the new bulb and
the wire in the clamp; tighten the two small screws. Refit the silicone washers so that they cover the connections.
7.Replace the cover and the two end sides as they were originally assembled.
8.Replace the rim and tighten it.
