Calibration of long shutters
Calibration of the long shutters is done on the
Long Shutters Calibration Screen
.
Warning:
Not completing all indicated calibration steps will leave the collimator un-
calibrated.
Warning:
Loss of electrical power will leave the collimator un-calibrated.
Steps to calibrate long shutters:
1.
Measure and position the collimator at an SID between 90 cm and 180 cm.
2.
Set the SID on the touch screen to the measured value (see applicable
User Manual
for more
details on SID selection).
3.
Enter
Service screen 1
, select button
and confirm calibration to enter the Long
Shutters Calibration Screen.
4.
Long calibration to minimal size (closed position):
a.
Open the cross shutters a little by turning the control knob.
b.
Carefully close the long shutters completely with the control knobs. Verify this by the
field light: when completely closed, the field light should not be visible on the table.
c.
When the long shutters are completely closed, select the button
in the
Long
Shutters Calibration Screen
. The collimator will perform the long zero calibration. Wait
until the shutters are stopped moving before continuing with the next step.
5.
Long calibration to the maximum calibration size (open position):
a.
Open the cross shutters a little by turning the control knob.
b.
Adjust the field size to an actual measured value of 43 cm for the long shutters with
the control knob. Verify this by the field light.
c.
When the long shutters are at 43 cm, select the button
in the
Long Shutters
Calibration Screen
. The collimator will perform the long max calibration. Wait until the
shutters are not moving anymore before continuing with the next step.

Complete long shutters calibration by selecting button:
