12.2. Grounding, additional protective equipotential bonding
A PE cable, at least 1x6mm² Cu, should be attached to the position on
the housing which is marked and provided for it. Ideally this should be
carried out with a ring cable lug for fastening with the M10x1 grounding
screw incl. serrated washer and washer (for tightening torque, refer to
figure 17).
ATTENTION:
It should be noted that with vehicles, which are to be connected to
the grounded external power supply unit via the conductive con-
nection, a device must be present by which the galvanic connec-
tion of the electrical earth with the ground can be made.
12.3. 400V AC supply line
The connection must be done at least with a cable according to the
heater hook-up cable. The cable cross-section must be chosen
according to the power and installed cable length. For cable feed
through cable glands according to EN 50262 must be used. Use a
dedicated power circuit for the heating system!
The device must have a fixed connection to the 3 phase power supply.
The heater must be connected to the protective earthing conductor.
Further the additional protective equipotential bonding must be con-
nected.
The connection must be carried out in accordance with the hook-up plan
in figure 9.
12.4. 690 (600) V DC supply line
The connection line must have a cross section of at least 2x4mm² Cu.
The cable cross-section must be chosen according to the power and
installed cable length. For cable feed through cable glands according to
EN 50262 must be used. Use a dedicated power circuit for the heating
system!
The device must have a fixed connection to the DC power supply.
The heater is to be connected to an additional protective equipotential
bonding.
The connection must be carried out in accordance with the hook-up plan
in figure 9.
