Cleaning and Care
Cleaning
Ensure that all burner knobs and controls are switched off and that the cooker has cooled
down before cleaning the oven.
Important note:
Always unplug the electrical socket before starting any cleaning.
Ensure that the cleaning products have been approved and recommended by the manufacturer
before using them. Do not use caustic creams, abrasive cleaning powders, abrasive sponges,
thick steel wool, or hard tools to avoid damaging the hob surfaces. If liquids spill around your
oven, the enamel parts may be damaged. Immediately clean up any overflow liquids with a
suitable product.
Cleaning the oven interior
The interior of the enamelled oven is easier to clean when the oven is still a little warm. After
each use, wipe the oven with a soft cloth previously soaked in soapy water. Then wipe it once
more with a damp cloth and dry it. It is sometimes necessary to use a liquid cleaning product
to fully clean it. Do not clean the oven with dry, powdered or steam cleaners.
Catalytic cleaning
Catalytic cleaning is achieved with coating applied to the specific, removable walls of the oven.
The catalytic walls are covered with a microporous enamel that absorbs and eliminates fat
residues during cooking. If greasy liquid is spilled, the self-cleaning action is insufficient.
You should therefore run a damp sponge over the grease stains and then run the oven at 250
°C for an hour, then wait for the oven to cool and use the damp sponge again. However, the
entire cavity will not be cleaned; the smooth enamel parts and the glass of the door should
be cleaned with domestic detergents.
