Laying and hooking collectors

Danger!
Risk of burns and scalding!
In the event of solar radiation inside the units,
collectors can reach 300 °C.
▶
Avoid working in direct sunlight.
▶
Cover the collectors before starting work.
▶
You should preferably perform the work in
the morning.
▶
Wear suitable safety gloves.
10. Position the collector on the lower mounting rail (top
collector).
11. Hook the collector in on the clamping elements.
12. Ensure that the upper clamping block
(1)
of the clamp-
ing element is above the rail of the collector.
13. Tighten the clamping elements of the lower mounting
rail.

Loosening the sun protection film

14. To ensure that the sun protection film can be easily re-
moved after starting up the unit, loosen the sun protec-
tion film from the edges of the collector.
Rendering the retaining straps unusable
Danger!
Risk of injury caused by transporting col-
lectors on weathered retaining straps
The retaining straps that are attached to the
collectors may become brittle due to environ-
mental influences, and may tear under load.
▶
After the initial installation of the collect-
ors, render the attached retaining straps
unusable in order to rule out subsequent
danger caused by weathered retaining
straps.
15. Render all retaining straps that are attached to the col-
lector unusable.
Installing additional collectors

16. Position the next collector on the lower mounting rail.
17. Ensure that the upper clamping block
(1)
of the clamp-
ing element is above the rail of the collector.
Fitting connectors

18. Screw the double nipple

set (extension set)) in the thread of the second collector

with the union nut

19. Push the collectors together.
