3.10 Setting the seed rate
! The seed boxe should be set according to the sowing table prior to filling the seed hopper.
Use the crank to set the desired value on the scale. On machines with mftg. no. -10 610, use the
supplied 10 mm wrench.
The scale setting can be reduced in intervals of 5-10 scale divisions even after the hopper has been
filled. Give the feed roller a few turns and continue to reduce the scale setting. When reducing the
scale setting to values under 20, the roller should be rotated continuously. The feed roller can be
engaged increasingly without any risk of the seed being crushed.
Electric adjustment of the sown amount (Option)
If the machine is equipped with electric adjustment of the sown amount (option), the seed house
setting is operated using the power switch on the control box or using the remote control. See
”3.16.5 Electric adjustment of the sown amount (Option)” on page 60.
NOTE!
The scale value cannot be reduced if the feed roller is not moving. Consequently, if the sca-
le indication must be changed when the machine is not moving, turn the drive wheel by hand.
3.11 Calibration
! Undo the protective cover on the drive wheel transmission. Put the high/low gear in the correct
position.
! Adjust the seed rate. See ”3.10 Setting the seed rate” on page 36, and select a scale setting from
the sowing table and based on previous experience.
