Switching on the second heating ring / frying zone
Depending on the features of the glass ceramic hob, there may be a second heating
ring and/or frying zone back right and/or front left.
A
Turn the dial past power level 6 as far as it will go.
– There is an audible click.

Turn the dial to the required power level.
Switching off the second heating ring / frying zone
A
Turn the dial to 0.
Cast iron hotplates

Do not use pots and pan that are smaller than the hotplate, as this can cause the
outer zone of the hotplate to overheat. Over time, the hotplate will become dam-
aged and the chrome steel ring will become loose or break.

Frequent overboiling (especially if using pans that are too small) can cause pitting
corrosion in the outer zone of the hotplate.
Cleaning and maintenance
A
Allow the hotplates to cool down before cleaning. Wipe clean with a slightly
damp cloth. Remove food soiling with fine wire wool.

Once to twice per week use a standard hotplate cleaner to restore and protect the
hotplates.
There is a rust-free chrome steel ring around the hotplates to protect the edge.
Over time, the heat will cause the ring to become discoloured, turning yellow.
Discolouration is normal and cannot be removed by cleaning.
