FORWARD-FACING INSTALLATION
– Safety Check
Tightness Indicator window is
GREEN .*
CHECK AT THE BELT PATH
to ensure there is not more than 1" of movement side to side or front to back.
If there is more than 1" of movement, repeat installation steps.
For lap belt only and lap/shoulder belt installations, make sure the vehicle lap belt is routed under belt
plate and for lap/shoulder belt installations only, make sure the shoulder belt is fully secured under the
tensioning clip. Check vehicle belt retractor is locked for lap/shoulder belt installations.
Confirm for
FORWARD-FACING
installation that the seat is reclinded as follows:
11.3 – 18 kg (25 – 40 lbs)
recline the seat to POSITION 1 or 2
18 – 29.5 kg (40 – 65 lbs)
the seat must be in the FULL UPRIGHT POSITION
*Occasionally check Child Restraint for tightness in the belt path and lift the fabric panel to ensure Tightness Indicator remains GREEN .
It is possible to achieve a tight installation even if the indicator is not fully green. Always check belt path for no more than 1" movement.
