6. Connect the appliance via the
power cord to the power supply
(AC, 230 V~, 50 Hz).
7. The indicator lamp lights up red
and remains on as long as the
appliance is plugged into the
power supply.
8. Set the selection switch to the
desired function:
“Fondue” for use of the fondue
function
Setting I for keeping the broth
warm
Setting II for heating the broth
Setting 0 for switching off the
fondue function
9. Heat the broth for about 20 minu-
tes. If you have prepared the broth
on the stove and it is still hot, this
time is reduced accordingly.
10. In the meantime, you can prepare
the ingredients. We recommend
200 to 250 grams of meat or fish
per person. To make it easier to
slice the meat thinly, place the
meat in the freezer for 2 to 3
hours beforehand.
11. While the broth is heating, you
can leave the lid on the appliance
if you are not using the grill func-
tion. When cooking ingredients
with the fondue, however, the lid
must be removed from the appli-
ance.
12. The liquid should not boil, but
only simmer. Therefore, it may be
necessary to set the switch to set-
ting 1 as needed.
13. Now you can immerse the ingre-
dients in the liquid, using the fon-
due forks.
14. Cook the meat about 3 to 4 minu-
tes. You can also cook firm fish,
shrimps, wan-tans or vegetables
(Chinese cabbage, broccoli, car-
rots, etc.) in the broth. Firm vege-
tables such as carrots may have
to be blanched first so they cook
faster in the broth.
15. Instead of using the forks, you
can put the ingredients in the
broth and fish them out with the
fondue baskets after they are fini-
shed cooking.
16. It is possible that liquid may splat-
ter. Therefore, you should protect
the table to prevent damage to
the surface from splashing or
dripping liquids.
17. When you no longer need the
fondue function, set the fondue
switch to “O” and unplug the
appliance from the power supply.
18. Then unplug the female appli-
ance plug from the appliance and
allow it to cool.
CAUTION:
The appliance becomes very
hot during operation!
OPERATION - GRILL FUNCTION
