Troubleshooting:
• Link button is flashing red
• Constant beeping to warn operator (press Link button to silence)
• Failed to receive meter and status data from Voltek NS. (Displays dotted line pattern and
Warning indicator)
• Failed to transmit button presses to Voltek NS.
• Voltek NS may be powered off, out of range, or not linked to the Spotter.
• If the link button is yellow or red, try the following:
• Move Spotter closer to the Voltek NS.
• Avoid hills, large metal objects, or walls blocking line-of-sight to the Voltek NS.
• Mount the Voltek in a location that is higher or closer to a window or open area.
Battery Operation:
The Spotter comes with a 12V cigarette lighter adapter and a 120-240VAC adapter for charging
the battery. You may have the Spotter on or off while charging, but it will not display charge
status unless it is turned on. A full charge takes approximately 3.5 hours.
Battery Specifications:
• Charging temperature range: -10°C (14°F) - 45°C (113°F)
• Discharging temperature range: - 20°C(-4°F) – 60°C(140°F)
• Run time: approx 15 hours
Keep in mind that actual run time can be affected by:
• Amount of activity occurring while in use
• Signal strength
• Battery temperature
• Battery age
To prolong battery life:
It is OK to perform a partial charge as needed. You do not need to “top off” the battery.
Do not keep plugged in to charger for long periods of time once it is fully charged. Keeping the
battery 100% charged increases stress on the battery and can reduce life span.
For long-term storage (several months), it is best if the battery is about 50-80% charged.
Do not leave the battery deeply discharged for long periods of time. This can permanently
damage the battery.
