Repeat from step 7 to step 9 to pull out the ‘Y: Yellow’ and ‘M: Magenta’ toner/drum cartridges. Remove the

protective sheet and install them back to the printer, then turn the toner cartridge lock lever.

Closing the cover without turning the toner cartridge lock lever (blue)

may cause a malfunction. Make sure to turn the cartridge lock lever until
the arrows line up.

Firmly hold the top of the ‘W: White’ toner/drum cartridge located in the

back the printer and lift it out. Place it on a protective surface and remove
the protective sheet, then install into the printer

The white cartridge that came preinstalled in your printer is already
in the locked position. Just remove the protective covering - it is not

necessary to turn the blue lever. Doing so can cause toner to spill.

Close the output tray (top cover) (4) by pushing down on the center of the

cover firmly.

Close the front cover (2).

The front cover cannot be closed securely if the output tray is not closed.

If the error message that the top or front cover is open does not disappear from the display screen, make sure
they are closed securely.
