6.4 Replacement of the coupling
A coupling is used at the section connecting the pump main unit and the motor.
It is recommended that this coupling be periodically inspected once a year or
so. If the corner is chipped or cracked, replace it. If the pump is started and
stopped hundreds of times a day, increase the inspection frequency.
To take out the coupling, it is necessary to remove the four bolts (which fix
the motor to the casing.) and separate the motor form the pump. Check the coupling
carefully from any troubles. After coupling inspection, re-attachment should
attach coupling so that the coupling be fitted for the rotor shaft (pump side).
To assemble the motor into the pump, it is required that the direction of the
motor shaft should be suited to the coupling (as shown by fig.8).

Connect the concave section (female) of the pump unit with the convex section
(male) of the motor, push the motor into the pump so that both connecting surfaces
come completely into contact with each other, and fix the motor with bolts.
