warranty is cancelled.
WARNING
The steering system is stiff
and hard to turn, even
when the boat is not
moving, if unbalanced
cylinders are used.

specialized technician for the valve
cleaning.

• Restrictions in hoses or fittings.
• Air in oil.
• Repeat the filling and the bleeding pro-
cedure of the system.
•
Look for and remove the restriction.
• Tighten the fittings with a maximum
torque of 20Nm (15 in.Ibs).
WARNING
When the steering wheel
is turned, the rod
(movable rod cylinders) or
the body (fixed cylinder
rod) of the cylinder do not
move.
•
Check the oil level and repeat the
bleeding procedure as explained in this
manual.
•
Repeat the filling and bleeding proce-
dure of the system.
• Look for the leak and contact
specialized staff.
•
Mount the helm with the filling hole in
up position.
•
Lack of fitting sealant.
•
Drain and disassemble the steering
system. Remove the fittings and remove
the oil from threads. Put the sealant on the
fittings and tighten them, install the helm.
After this operation it is necessary to carry
out another bleeding.
WARNING
• Tighten the plug.
• Replace the vent plug with the plug for
the additional helm kit.
•
Bad tightening of the plug.
• The vent plug on the additional
helm is in the lower position.
•
Bad tightening or low torque
of the fittings.
Never use teflon tape or adhesive
tape on any fitting.

Replace the steering wheel with a bigger one.
• Only within the maximum dimensions
allowed by the helm.
•
Adjust the torque tab.
The steering system is easy
to turn at the dock but
becomes hard to turn when
the boat is in motion.
WARNING
• The steering wheel is too
small.
• Follow the procedure to maintain the suitable
oil level (see paragraph "purging procedure").

Replace the plug.

Worn and damaged seal.

Leaks from the tank plug.
Leaks from steering
system fittings.
• Incorrect setting of the torque
