Safety Information
WARNING: UV radiation is dangerous to the eyes and the skin. The UV-C emitter must not be operated if it has been taken out of its housing!
CAUTION: This device contains a UV-C emitter! Any unintentional use of the device or damage to its housing can result in the emission of dangerous UV-C radiation. UV-C radiation can
damage the eyes and the skin, even in low doses.
- The power supply must conform with the product specifi cations. Do not connect the device if the power supply does not comply with the specifi ed regulations! Consult your local
recognised electrical fi tter for further information.
- The pump and the UVC device may only be operated in conjunction with a residual current device (circuit breaker//RCD) with a rated residual current of not more than 30 mA. For
further information, please contact your local electrical dealer.
- The pump and UVC device may only be put into operation once all components and pipe connections have been fully installed. Under no circumstances may the UVC device be
operated in the water; it must be installed beside the pond in such a way that it cannot be fl ooded.
- The power connection from the pump and UVC device must be located at a distance of at least 3.5 m from the pond or water pool.
- To avoid overheating of the UV-C lamp, the UVC device may only be put into operation when water is fl owing through the housing. Never put the UV-C into operation outside the
housing!
- The set pump and UVC device may only be operated at a water temperature of b5°C and +35°C.
- If the set pump and the UVC device are not to be used during the winter months, the devices should be dismantled, cleaned and stored in a frost-free location.
- It is not possible to replace the mains cable. If the cable becomes damaged, the set pump or UVC device must be disposed of appropriately.
- To ascertain that the UVC lamp is functioning properly, any inspection may only be in the form of a visual check through the inspection window (located on the front side of the
device). Any direct contact with UV-C radiation may result in injury to eyes and/or skin.
- The UVC device must not be operated with transparent pipes. We recommend the use of our black spiral pond pipe. Moreover, the infl ow and outfl ow pipes must be secured against
accidental or unintentional removal from the nozzle using hose clamps.
- The device is not suitable for use by any persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacity or with a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions on how to use the device. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
device.
