General Purpose Input/Output
SARA-R4 series modules include six pins (
GPIO1

) which can be configured as General Purpose
Input/Output or to provide custom functions via u-blox AT commands (for more details see the
SARA-R4 series
AT Commands Manual
[2], +UGPIOC, +UGPIOR, +UGPIOW AT commands), as summarized in Table 8.

SARA-R4 series modules have pins reserved for future use, marked as
RSVD
.
All the
RSVD
pins are to be left unconnected on the application board, except for the
RSVD
pin number
