Driver internally sets the Locally Administered Address bit of the first octet of the MAC
address assigned to P2P interface as seen in the below excerpt.
Access point
This information provided in this section assumes that the JODY-W2 series module has been
connected to the host and the Wi-Fi drivers are loaded. Not all the driver packages have firmware
which supports internal supplicant and authenticator. The package must include the tools
mlanutl
and
uaputl
for station and AP respectively. See the README file in the driver package to check this.
3.11.7.1
Using internal authenticator
In the following scenario, an access point is created using the example configuration tool provided by
NXP called
uaputl
. NXP firmware has internal authenticator functionalities that are used in this case.
☞
The embedded authenticator is not supported in all firmware releases.
recommended way to configure the access point.
The access point is configured with an SSID value "
jody-w2
" for 80 MHz bandwidth and passphrase
"
12345678
" for WPA2 based encryption. The description of the individual commands is provided in the
README_uap
and
README_mlan
files.
