The OLGAS actuator is also fitted with direct acted limit switches (SPDT type) that are connected to the switches
junction box.
Once the connections are completed, check that the controls and signals work properly.
NOTE: Before energising the actuator
put the local remote selector on “
OFF
” position.
13.3.3.
Start up
After having performed, hydraulic, electric connections and coupled mechanically the actuator with the process
valve, the system is ready to star up.
Make sure that the 3-posirion selector is in OFF position and then energise the system.
If the display shows NORMAL, and the alarm led (the yellow) is OFF, means that the
system is ready to start.
NOTE: If the yellow led shows an alarm press the OPEN/YES pushbutton and scroll the
list of available alarm in order to identify the alarm (see the instruction reported
in the trouble-shooting table) and remove the condition which causes the
malfunctioning.
•
Put the selector in LOCAL and verify that the pressure start to increase. If the
pressure remain low verify that that the pressure gauge stop valve is open and the discharge valve is closed. If the
pressure do not increase it is necessary change the phase sequence of the supply line.
•
When the pressure value is over 125 bar it is possible to perform the purge operation:
13.3.4.
Purge operation
The purge operation is used to exhaust the air that could be present into the hydraulic circuit, immediately after the
hydraulic supply connection, or after solenoid valve re-installation.
•
Put the 3-position selector in OFF and select
from the SETUP MENU the routine PURGE
and follow the display instruction. SPEED
PWM must be set about 50%.
•
unloose
carefully
the purge screw placed on
the top of the solenoid valves and then press
alternatively the OPEN / CLOSE push-
buttons until the oil flow out without air,
from both solenoid valves. The purge of the
solenoid valve placed behind the pressure
switch (VEM 2) could require several
strokes
•
Re-tight the purge screws and clean the
solenoid valve cup protections from the oil.
The system is now ready for control operation,
positioning the 3-position selector in REMOTE.
NOTE: The system leave the factory, tested, with
all positioning parameter fully configured,
including the stroke limits setting (mechanical
and electronics). In case it is necessary to modify
the mechanical stroke limit setting is also
necessary to modify the electronic setting,
according to the relevant instruction on
paragraphs 9.1/13.2.
NOTE: During electronic position calibration is
necessary to reduce the hydraulic pressure value
by means the opening of the pressure discharge
valve
The pressure value must be maintained between
80 and 100 bar.
