9.3. Positioner
The routine positioner allow to set the following parameters of the positioning control programme:
Ø
Dead band or positioning accuracy (range from 0 to 25.5%)
Ø
Opening control band (range from 0 to 25.5%), gain K (range from 0 to 100) and K2 (range from 0 to
100)
Ø
Closing control band (range from 0 to 25.5%), gain K (range from 0 to 100) and K2 (range from 0 to
100)
Ø
Req. polarity (Action), 4 mA close; 4 mA open
Ø
Close position 0%
Ø
Open position 100%.
Set-up procedure:
•
Move the local selector to OFF and then press simultaneously OPEN and STOP. Select the language
and then enter the password according to the instructions “entering the set-up mode”. When the
message of display is “SET-UP MODE OK?” press YES. Press YES to select
actuator set-up
menu, and
then press NO to scroll the list of available routines and then press YES to select the
Positioner
routine
.
•
Press YES to see the DEAD BAND value, press NO to change and release the push-button to choose and then YES
to confirm;
•
Press YES to confirm the OPENING CONTROL BAND value, press NO to change and release the push-button to
choose and then YES to confirm;
•
Press YES to confirm the gain K value, press NO to change and release the push-button to choose and then YES to
confirm;
•
Press YES to confirm the gain K2 value, press NO to change and release the push-button to choose and then YES to
confirm
•
Press YES to confirm the CLOSING CONTROL BAND value, press NO to change and release the push-button to
choose and then YES to confirm;
•
Press YES to confirm the gain K value, press NO to change and release the push-button to choose and then YES to
confirm;
•
Press YES to confirm the gain K2 value, press NO to change and release the push-button to choose and then YES to
confirm
•
Press YES to confirm REQ.POLARITY 4 mA CL (close),press NO to change to REQ.POLARITY 4 mA OP (open)
and again YES to confirm;
•
Press YES to confirm the CLOSE POSITION 0%, press no to change and release the push-button to choose and
then YES to confirm;
•
Press YES to confirm the OPEN POSITION 100%, press no to change and release the push-button to choose and
then YES to confirm;
9.4. ESD Control
An ESD signal can be connected to the actuator to override any existing command and drive the valve in a
predetermined position. The ESD control is not self-maintained, it means that the ESD action is carried out only if the
relevant input is active. The ESD control is active when the 3-position selector is in REMOTE, depending on the
priority selected and no alarm, which block the system, is present (see trouble-shooting table).
