3.2

Replacing motherboard components

This section contains instructions for removing motherboard
components and the motherboard.

3.2.1 Disconnecting all motherboard cables

When replacing the motherboard or certain motherboard
components, it may be necessary to remove cables con-
nected to the motherboard. Follow these instructions to
remove all motherboard cabling.

1. Disconnect the power cables.

2. Disconnect the SATA hard drive cables if installed.

There are four SATA connections
on the motherboard.
