7.10 Replacing the Drain Valve
Caution!
Before starting, disconnect the instrument from the power source and
ensure that there is no pressure in the autoclave.
Allow the autoclave to cool before removing outer covers.
1. Remove the autoclave cover (see para. 7.5 “ Dismantling the Outer
Covers of the Autoclave ” ).
2. Disconnect the drainpipe from the valve, using a 9/16 ” wrench.
3. Remove the nut (3) and the “ring for drain valve” (2).
3. Remove the drain valve (1) from the panel.
4. Install a new valve according to the drawing below.
5. Verify that there is no leakage.
