ATTACHING WIDE
SPIN
1540 EC TO TOW VEHICLE
(See Figure 11)
The tow vehicle must be properly equipped to tow
the WIDE
SPIN
1540 EC top dresser. The tow vehicle
must have the following:
● Adequate horsepower to tow the WIDE
SPIN
1540 EC.
● Adequate Brakes to control and stop a loaded
WIDE
SPIN
1540 EC.
● Adequate hitch to accept the 1540 EC tongue
weight and a 16 mm (5/8”) pin or a 2” (50.8 mm)
ball for the optional fifth wheel hitch.
● Adequate suspension to accept the 1540 EC
tongue weight.
Step 30.
Attach the 1540 EC to the tow vehicle,
secure with the hitch pin and attach the safety
chains. The 1540 EC should sit level when it is
hitched to the tow vehicle.
ALWAYS ATTACH THE SAFETY CHAINS
TO THE TOW VEHICLE.
Step 31.
Reset the jack stand to the raised position.
Swing wheel end towards the top dresser.
● Check the position of the head of the jack stand
to ensure that it does not interfere with the hitch,
safety chains, wiring harness, or any part of the
tow vehicle (especially during sharp turns).
