SERVICE LEVEL MAINTENANCE

HYDRAULIC FLUID FILTER CANISTER

REPLACEMENT

Refer to the “Hydraulic Fluid and Hydraulic Filter

Service Schedule” table for ﬁlter replacement schedule

times. Order Turfco part number 661572. Be sure to

replace the ﬁlter with an “absolute” 10 micron ﬁlter. An

“absolute” ﬁlter removes up to 98% of the 10 micron

or larger particles, while a 10 micron “nominal” ﬁlter

removes only 17% of 10 micron or larger particles.

HYDRAULIC FLUID TANK

The tank is mounted to the right front of the top dresser.

Capacity of the tank is 34 liters (9 gallons). Use the

dipstick on the end of the ﬁller cap to measure the

amount of hydraulic ﬂuid in the tank. Measure when the

pump and engine are not running. Do not overﬁll the

tank, room has been allowed for the expansion of the

ﬂuid as it heats during use.
The ﬁller tube has an internal strainer basket to ﬁlter

out larger sized impurities in the ﬂuid during ﬁlling of the

tank. Use caution during ﬁlling not to damage or tear the

strainer screen with long ﬁller can nozzles. To service or

clean out the strainer, the entire ﬁller assembly needs

be removed from the tank. The ﬁller cap also acts as a

breather vent for the tank. The breather is necessary to

allow for pressure relief of the hydraulic system during

operation. Do not block the breather or replace the ﬁller

cap with a cap that is not vented or capable of ﬁltering

out dirt or dust (40 micron minimum). Always clean the

area around the ﬁller before removing the cap.
