TONNEAU COVER FITTING
NOTE Read entire instructions prior to start.
The plastic strip at the front of the tonneau cover is designed to slide into the middle track of the
commodore extrusion.
If you are experiencing problems fitting the tonneau cover, adjust the length by sliding the plastic strip
into the front or rear track of the commodore extrusion
All parts supplied with the cover must be used for it to fit correctly. Do not use genuine fitting kit.
All fitting kits are weighed to ensure accurate quantities.
1.1 BASIC TOOL REQUIRED
Drill, 4mm Drill Bit, Rivet Gun, Marking Pencil / Pen
1.2 TONNEAU COVER INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1.
To fit the front extrusion, have the front plastic inserted into the centre rail of the extrusion.
2.
Slide the aluminium with the end caps vertically up into the recessed notches behind the cab.
3.
Once the extrusion is all the way up on both sides, rotate it 90 degrees so the plastic sewn into
the cover it on the top.
4.
The extrusion then slides back towards the tailgate to lock it into position.
Using Internal Elastic Shock Cord:
The plastic clips on the internal shock cord can be hooked into the aluminium extrusions so that the
cover can still be secured with larger loads in the tub.
2.
CARING FOR YOUR TONNEAU
Apply bee's wax or Dri-lube to stitching a few times a year, as this will maintain the tonneau's
waterproofing ability and prevent the stitching from degrading. Use a mild detergent and soft
scrubbing brush to clean tonneau.
Never drive without tonneau support bars in place as flapping can cause a delaminating
effect on the material.
