Check after installation
After installing the driver and connect the camera, the following are installed on your
computer and can be checked.
Taskbar
- An icon ‘ ’ will be visible in the right of your taskbar.
‘Start – Settings – Control Panel’. Double-click on the ‘System’ icon and select the
‘Device Manager’ tab.
In Windows ME/2K/XP:
- Disk drives – 300_Camera USB Device
- Universal Serial Bus Controllers – USB Mass Storage Device
In Windows 98:
- Disk drives –Digital Camera Storage Device
- Universal Serial Bus Controllers – USB Mass Storage Device
Note:
The information given above will vary when the installation has been
altered by the user (for example, not everything has been installed or
locations other than the default locations have been selected).
Note:
Deviations may also occur as a result of using new drivers available on
the Internet.
Note:
The location or name may vary in the ‘Control Panel’ for different
operating systems.
11 Downloading recordings to computer
1.
Once your camera is connected to the computer
2.
Your system will recognize the camera as a removable drive. Open My
Computer and you shall see a new removable drive labelled
‘300_CAMERA’ added.

Simply click in the folder named “DCIM”, where you can find all the
images or videos you took.
4.
Copy and paste the selected images or videos from your camera to
PC.
12 Extensive use of camera
12.1. LCD
display
The LCD screen allows you to view the photographs, video clips, use the menu, and
etc. If you turn the LCD screen off, the battery can usually be used longer.
In capture mode, macro mode or video mode:
•
Press the LCD button (2, Fig. 2) to turn the details off.
•
Press the LCD button again to turn the crop mark off.
•
Press the LCD button again to turn the LCD screen off.
•
Press the LCD button again to view all the details.
Note:
You cannot alter anything in the menu when the LCD screen is turned off.
