Start-up

• Check air inlet (15) and outlet (16) for foreign objects and

remove these, if necessary.

• Check the air filter for dirt and clean it, if required. See

Maintenance on page 8.

• Ensure that the basic device and the external heat exchanger

are properly connected to each other. See Connecting basic
device and external heat exchanger on page 5.

Switching the device on

1. Insert the mains plug (14) into a properly secured mains

power socket.

2. Select the desired fan speed.

3. Select the desired room temperature.

4. Use the ON/OFF button (18) to switch the device on.

– In doing so, select the operating mode cooling or

ventilation.

Setting the operating mode

The following operating modes are available:

• cooling: The room air is circulated by the device and cooled

at the same time.

• ventilation: The room air is circulated by the device.

The operating mode is selected during switch-on of the device:

• I stands for cooling mode.

• II stands for ventilation mode.

Shutdown

1. Use the ON/OFF switch (18) to switch the device off.

2. Remove the mains plug from the mains socket.

3. Disconnect all connections between basic device and

external heat exchanger.

4. Clean the device, and especially the air filter, according to

chapter Maintenance on page 8.

5. Store the device according to chapter Storage on page 5.

Is illuminated as soon as the device is supplied with power.

ON/OFF switch

Switches the device on or off and selects the operating mode:
0: Device is switched off.
I: Device is switched on and set to cooling mode.
II: Device is switched on and set to ventilation mode.

Display

Indicates the operating hours of the compressor (cooling mode).
Displays 

dEFr

 when the device operates in defrost mode.

Indicates an error message in case of a fault. See Errors and faults on page 7.

Temperature switch

To select the desired room temperature for cooling mode.

Fan speed switch

To select the fan speed:
MIN: lowest level
MED: medium level
MAX: highest level
