How to Ride the Motorcycle
Parking
Select neutral and turn the ignition
switch to the ’OFF' position.
Lock the steering to help prevent
theft.
Always park on a firm, level surface
to prevent the motorcycle from falling.
When parking on a hill, always park
facing uphill to prevent the
motorcycle from rolling off the stand.
Engage first gear to prevent the
motorcycle from moving.
On a lateral (sideways) incline,
always park such that the incline
naturally pushes the motorcycle
towards the sidestand.
Do not park on a lateral (sideways)
incline of greater than 6
o
and never
park facing downhill.
NOTE
• When parking near traffic at
night, or when parking in a
location where parking lights
are required by law, leave the
tail, licence plate and position
lights on by turning the
ignition switch to P (Park).
Do not leave the switch in the ’P'
position for long periods-of-time as
this will discharge the battery.
