Connection of external mass storage device (option)
If an external mass storage device is connected to the USB-Connector (option) on the rear
side of the receiver, it can be managed in the menu “Mass Storage Device”.
Important: Before connecting or disconnecting the mass storage device, the receiver
must be switched to Standby.
In the Main menu choose the line “Mass Storage Device” with
and confirm with
OK
.
This menu will appear:

Move the cursor using the buttons
onto the line
Information
and press the
OK
button.
In the superimposed window you will see details about the connected mass storage device:
Type, size, etc.
Use
EXIT
to leave this window
Formatting
Allows you to format the mass storage device. Formatting the mass storage device will
completely delete all data which is recorded on it. Afterwards the full recording capacity will
again be available.
In the menu
Mass Storage Device
, move the cursor using the buttons
onto the line
Formatting
and then press the
OK
button
Use ◄► to choose whether you want to format the mass storage device (yes) or not (no).
After formatting the number of recordings will be reset to zero. Available space shows the
maximum recording capacity available on the mass storage device.
Use
EXIT
to leave the window.
Caution :
If you format the mass storage device, all recordings on it will be irretrievably lost.
