Press the
p
key to select ‘Yes’ and start the measurement. The measured length is
displayed as below:
Hold the
p
and
q
keys (-/+) to display the length adjustment to achieve the actual
cable length and then press the ‘PAIR&L’ key to save the calibration factor and exit
the calibration function.
If the cable length being measured is too short (<5m), the following will be displayed
to prompt the user to use a longer cable for calibration. The user is also prompted
as to whether they want to continue calibrating or not.
Press the

key to select ‘No’ and exit the calibration function. Press the
p
key to
select ‘Yes’ and repeat the measurement.
If there is a fault on the cable being measured, a display typical to that below will be
shown to inform the user and to confirm whether or not to continue the calibration:

Note:
If the tester is restarted after it shuts off, the tester will recover the standard calibration factor of
Class UTP5 cable as setup during manufacture.
