Be careful not to activate the release pedals during the installation

4. Using the pliers, disconnect and save the spring (B)

 

from the stretcher 

frame (see figure 7-32 on page 7-59).

5. Using the retaining ring removal/installation tool, remove the retaining 

rings (C) from the headed pins (D) that secure the pivot link (E) to the 
stretcher frame.
