5 1 Connecting the Telephone
There are two methods to connect your telephone to the modem router. Choose the
proper method according to your socket.
Method 1: Via TAE socket
Connect the analog telephone to TAE socket 1 or 2.

Method 2: Via RJ11 socket
Connect the analog telephone to PHONE 1 or PHONE 2 using a RJ11 cable.
Tips:
1. The modem router can connect two analog telephones at the same time.
2. TAE1 and PHONE1 are the same socket in different forms. If TAE 1 is connected, PHONE 1 cannot be used. So does
TAE 2 and PHONE 2.
5 2 DECT
The modem router is integrated with DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless
Telecommunications) function. With this function enabled, you can register your
cordless phone on the modem router and make calls via Internet.
5 2 1 Registering DECT Handset
There are two ways to register your DECT handset.
