one of the flashes aligns with the
z e r o d e g re e mark.
S low ly increase the rpm to setting
specification fo r the first advance
reading listed in the specification.
If the c o r r e c t advance is not in
dicated at this rpm, replace the
g o v e r n o r springs.
Operate the distributor both f o r
w a rd
and r e v e r s e in the rpm
r a n g e s .

Condenser
Check the condenser fo r minimum
s e r ie s resistance, maximum insulation
resistance and the capacity with the
distributor tester.
T h e s e r ie s and the insulation r e s i s
tances should be within the perm issible
range on the tester.
A l s o the capacity should be 0.2 0 to
0.24 m icrofarad.
If defective, rep lace the c o n d en ser.
