Clamping with set screw (DIN 9859)

Unscrew the spring washer unit and remove
the spring washers.

Push the shank of the tool as far as possible into
the tool holding fixture.

Fix the shank of the tool with the set screw.
Dimensions and tightening tor-
ques
The dimensions of the tool holding
fixture can be found in type sheet
'TOX ® -FinePress'.
The tightening torques can be found
in chapter 10: 'Notes regarding re-
pairs'.

Mount all tools and holding devices required
for the intended application firmly and safely.
Open height
The open height depends on the height of the
tool to be used, the height of the workpiece hold-
ing fixture and the lower workpiece, the total
stroke, as well as on the height of the workpiece
to be handled.
Calculation of the open height
In order to avoid tool breakage or
damages to the workpieces, calcu-
late the required open height be-
fore starting operation.
Observe the pneumatic power
stroke (max. 6 mm) when setting
up the tool.
Bending of the press
When aligning the tool, the deflec-
tion of the press must be taken into
consideration (see data in chapter
'Technical data’).
Adjusting the open height of the press head
Rough and fine adjustment
The rough adjustment is possible
via the alignment of the press
head on the measuring scale, the
fine adjustment is done using the
power stroke fine adjustment .

If the open height of the press head should be
changed, remove the lid ( 1 ) of the press
frame.

Loosen the fastening screws of the clamping
plate which hold the press head to the press
frame (do not turn out the screws).
