When installing the power vent horizontally, ensure the side of the power vent with the 

attached electrical junction box is facing downwards.

Use exterior silicone/caulk around the base of the power vent to seal it to the building 

envelope.

Any horizontal run leading to the power vent shall be sloped down to the outside at a 

minimum of 1/4 inch per foot of vent length.
