NOTE: 

The architectural 

series fireplaces with the

bearing up to 1000lbs of 

facing material weight. Up 
to 1 inch stone may be 

used. An architectural series 

fireplace is not to be used 

as a load bearing structure.

Facing Material

Because the unit requires no clearance to combustible material, drywall or other facing material can 
be affixed directly to the surface of the unit. Using standard 2x4’s and 2x6’s in the framing process 
allows for the edge of 1/2” drywall or other facing material to fit into the channels which make up the 
perimeter of the exterior glass sheets (Figure 11 and Figure 12).
