4.5  HDD 

Remove a 9.5 mm HDD / 7.0 mm HDD 

The following describes the procedure for removing the HDD

 

CAUTION:  Take care not to press on the top or bottom of a HDD. Pressure may cause 

data loss or damage to the device. 

1.

 

Turn off the computer and remove the battery. 

2.

 

Turn the computer upside down. 

3.

 

After remove the Ram Door and Optical Disk Drive, release the following screws 
securing the HDD. (See Figure 4-5-1) 

•

Use the pull tab to disconnect the HDD toward the arrow direction from the HDD 
connector on the system board and lift it up from the base. (See Figure 4-5-1) 

5.

 

Disconnect the HDD bracket from the HDD by loosing the screws(See Figure 4-5-2)
