Checking Engine Deck Height
1. Disengage the PTO and set the parking brake.
2. Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all
moving parts to stop before leaving the operating
position.
3. Adjust the tire pressure in all tires to specifications on
page 32.
4. Measure engine deck height at location A (Fig. 51).
5. Measure engine deck height at location B (Fig. 51).
6. If the height at location A and B are not the same,
change tire pressure slightly to make them the same.

Checking Carrier Frame Front–to–Rear
Pitch
The carrier frame must have a pitch of a 1/4 inch (6 mm)
over the length of 24 inches (61 cm) on the carrier frame
(Fig. 52).
1. Measure out 24 inches (61cm) on the carrier frame
(Fig. 52).
2. Measure carrier frame height at location A (Fig. 52).
3. Measure carrier frame height at location B (Fig. 52).
4. The height at location A must be a 1/4–3/8 inch
(6 mm –10 mm) lower than location B (Fig. 52).
5. If the carrier frame is not correct, move caster spacers
to make it a 1/4–3/8 inch (6 –10 mm) pitch (Fig. 52).
Move spacers from top or bottom to make the correct
pitch.
6. The tire pressure may also be adjusted slightly to make
a 1/4 inch (6 mm) pitch.
