Storage
1. Lower the loader arms and stop the engine.
Remove the key.
2. Remove dirt and grime from the external parts
of the entire traction unit, especially the engine.
Clean dirt and chaff from the outside of the
engine.
Important:
You can wash the traction
unit with mild detergent and water. Do
not pressure wash the traction unit. Avoid
excessive use of water, especially near the
control panel, engine, hydraulic pumps,
and motors.
3. Service the air cleaner; refer to Servicing the
Air Cleaner.
4. Grease the traction unit; refer to Greasing the
Traction Unit.
5. Change the crankcase oil; refer to Servicing the
Engine Oil.
6. Check the tire pressure; refer to Checking the
Tire Pressure.
7. Charge the battery; refer to Servicing the
Battery.
8. Flush the fuel tank with fresh, clean diesel fuel.
9. Check and tighten all bolts, nuts, and screws.
Repair or replace any part that is damaged.
10. Paint all scratched or bare metal surfaces. Paint
is available from your Authorized Service
Dealer.
11. Check antifreeze protection and fill the radiator
with a 50/50 solution of water and permanent
ethylene glycol antifreeze.
12. Store the traction unit in a clean, dry garage or
storage area. Remove the key from the ignition
switch and keep it in a memorable place.
13. Cover the traction unit to protect it and keep
it clean.
