Apply a thin coat of clean hydraulic fluid to the
gasket on the new filters.
4.
Install the hydraulic filters onto the filter
adapters. Turn each filter clockwise until the
gasket contacts the filter adapter, then tighten
each an additional 1/2 turn.
5.
Add the specified hydraulic fluid until the fluid
level is at the Full mark on the dipstick, refer
to
Hydraulic Fluid Specifications (page 81)
and
Checking the Hydraulic-Fluid Level (page 82)
.
6.
Start the engine and run it for 2 minutes to purge
air from the system. Shut off the engine, remove
the key, and check for hydraulic-fluid leaks.
7.
Check the hydraulic fluid level. Add the specified
hydraulic fluid to raise the level to the F
ULL
mark
on the dipstick, if required.
Note:
Do not overfill the hydraulic reservoir
with fluid.

fasteners, and wheel lug nuts to ensure that the
proper torque is maintained. Fastener torque

located on the coring head support channel
