7.8 Compressor
7.8.1 Transportation
Do not use an attached air hose to carry or move the compressor. Always use the handle when transporting the
product.
Release the pressure in the air tank before moving. See “14 Maintenance (Drain air tank/release tank pressure)”
on page 31.
7.8.2 Location
Place the product on a firm, level surface.
Never use the product in in areas where work is conducted with sprayed water.
Never operate the product if acids, vapors, explosive gases, or inflammable gases present.
Only operate the product where there is good ventilation and an ambient temperature ranges from +5 to +40 ºC.
Risk of falling! Never operate product on a roof or other elevated position. Use an additional air hose to reach
high locations.
7.8.3 Before use
Inspect the product for cracks, pin holes, or other imperfections that could make the product unsafe to use.
Before connecting the product to the power supply make sure the data on the rating plate is identical to the
rechargeable battery.
Make sure that the intake air is dry and dust free.
Use flexible hoses to prevent transmitting unacceptable loads to the pipeline system at the connection between
the compressor system and the pipeline system. Avoid long air lines.
7.8.4 During use
Protect material lines and air lines from damage or puncture. Keep hose and power cord away from sharp objects,
chemical spills, oil, solvents and wet floors.
The pressure gauge on the compressor is for reference only. To reduce the risk of over inflation, use an accurate
pressure gauge periodically during inflation. Never block the inflating outlets while operating.
Risk of overinflation
– Never leave a compressor unattended with the air hose attached to the item being inflated.
– Stand 3 m away from the object that is being inflated.
– Do not adjust the regulator knob higher than marked max. pressure of the attachment.
– When using with objects the compressor output pressure is greater than marked maximum pressure of item to
be inflated. Do not use for objects with a rated pressure less than 8 bar (approx. 116 psi).
– Carefully monitor objects during inflation.
– Do not exceed the pressure rating of any component in the system.
