14 Maintenance (Drain air tank/release tank pressure)
WARNING:
Risk of injury
– To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn power off and remove the battery pack before making any
adjustments or removing/installing attachments or accessories.
– An accidental start-up can cause injury.
WARNING:
Risk of unsafe operation. Risk from noise.
– Air tanks contain high pressure air. Keep face and other body parts away from outlet of drain.
– Use safety glasses when draining as debris can be kicked up into face.
– Use ear protection as air flow noise is loud when draining.
WARNING:
Risk of bursting.
– Water will condense in the air tank.
– If not drained, water can corrode and weaken the air tank causing a risk of rupture.
NOTICE:
Risk of property damage.
Drain water from air tank may contain oil and rust which can cause stains.
1. Switch the power OFF.
2. Remove any inserted battery packs.
3. Turn the regulator dial counterclockwise to set the outlet pressure to zero.
4. Remove any attached accessories.
5. Place a suitable container under the drain valve to catch any discharge.
6. Drain water from the air tank by slowly opening the drain valve on bottom of tank.
7. (If required) Use the handle to tilt the compressor toward the drain valve.
8. After the water has been drained, close the drain valve.
Important:
– If the drain valve is blocked, with the power OFF, release all air pressure by connecting a tool to the airline and
operating it until the TANK (tank) pressure gauge shows zero bar.
– The valve can then be removed, cleaned, then reinstalled.
Important:
– Any other servicing should be performed by a specialist workshop
