CARE AND CLEANING
Under normal use, a deposit of scale may form on the inside of the Kettle.
This scale build-up can be delayed by pouring out old water and refilling
before each use.
1. Unplug power cord from wall outlet and allow Kettle to cool
before cleaning.
2. Remove Filter by pressing down on the Hook at the top of the Filter
until it is disengaged from the rim at the top of the Kettle.
Lift out Filter and wash under running water.
3. Scale which has accumulated inside the Kettle can be removed by
boiling equal parts of white vinegar and water (2 cups of each is
recommended). Once the water has boiled, allow mixture to stand
overnight. Empty out mixture and fill Kettle to the MAX level with
fresh water. Bring water to a boil and discard. For heavy scale
build-up, repeat this process.
4. Use a soft, damp cloth to preserve the original, highly polished
exterior finish. DO NOT use abrasive cleaners.
Dry thoroughly before use.
5. DO NOT ALLOW WATER TO ENTER THE POWER BASE
6. DO NOT IMMERSE KETTLE OR POWER BASE IN WATER OR
OTHER LIQUID.
