3. Replace lid. Note: The lid should only be removed or replaced
when Kettle is cold.
4. Place Kettle on the Base making sure it is correctly engaged on its base.
5. Plug Power Base cord into a 120V AC wall outlet.
Note: Never plug Power Base with empty Kettle into the electrical outlet.
6. Depress the On/Off Switch. The Indicator Light at the base of the Kettle
will light up to indicate that the Kettle is in the boil cycle.
Once the water has boiled, the On/Off Switch will raise to the 'Off'
position and the Indicator Light will go out.
NEVER REMOVE THE FILTER WHEN THE KETTLE IS HOT
.
7. If the Kettle is lifted off the Power Base at any time during the boil
cycle, the Kettle will automatically shut off. The On/Off Switch will move
to the Off position and the Indicator Light will go out.
8. If you want to use the Kettle again, allow the thermal safety switch
to cool down for 15 - 20 seconds then depress the On/Off Switch to
the On position. If the On/Off Switch does not remain in the On
position, the water is hot enough to use without reheating.
9. Unplug cord from wall outlet before lifting Kettle from Power Base.
Grip the Kettle by the Handle only as the surface and lid will be hot.
10. Return the Kettle to the Power Base or place on a heat resistant surface
after use.
11. If the Kettle is accidently switched on when empty, the thermostat will
automatically shut it off to prevent the Kettle from overheating.
If this situation occurs, unplug the Power Base and let the Kettle cool
before refilling.
12. It is recommended that the power cord be disconnected from the wall
outlet when not in use. DO NOT attempt to connect any other appliance
to the Power Base or tamper with the connector in any way.
