ENGINE DISASSEMBLY

2.15  STARTER MOTOR

2.15.1  

Disassembly

Remove the flywheel cover, as described in the relevant paragraphs.

remove the Bendix starter (1). 

Unscrew the two starter motor fastening screws (2).

remove the starter motor (3).

2.15.2  

Re-mounting

Check the status of the “OR” gasket (4) positioned on the starter motor (3); 

replace it if ruined. 

lubricate the gasket (4) with generic grease and then mount the starter 
motor (3).
