ENGINE DISASSEMBLY
2.7.2 Reassembly
Check the condition of the “OR” gasket (5) if damaged or dry replace the
injector.
grease the part (6) and (7) of the injector with lithium grease.
reassemble the injector (3) in the duct (4).
Mount the injector (3) in the seat (8) of the cylinder.
Put abundant loctite 243 on the threads of the two screws (1) then reas -
semble them making sure that the Teflon washers (2) are positioned as
shown in the figure. Tighten so that the screw is packaged with the wash
-
ers and then tighten another 1/4 turn.
NOTE: If the Teflon washers (2) are damaged, replace them.
2.8 CYLINDER AND PISTON
2.8.1 Cylinder and piston removal
Remove the head and injectors as described in the relative paragraphs.
NOTE: The drain valve nut (1) must be screwed or unscrewed only
when the valve has to be overhauled and only with the cylinder
removed.
Do not act on the nut (1) with the cylinder mounted as there
may be adjustment problems.
Unscrew the nuts (2) as follows:
1)
loosen the nuts (2);
2) Completely unscrew the nuts (2).
