2.5 Turning Handset On/Off
When you place the handset on the charger, it automatically turns on.
To turn the handset on (when it is is off), keep the
key pressed until you switch the display on.
Symbols of display are stated in the next para-
graph.
To turn the handset off, keep the key
pressed until the goodbye message appears. Then
the display turns off.

Nothing will appear on the display when the battery
power is very low. You should fully charge the handset
before using it.

The first time the phone turns on, the display shows the
handset and the base number, e.g. HS(1) and BS(1).
You can set the phone to display a large analogue clock
instead of the other parameters. For further details
please see the paragraph 8.1.

If you purchased an optional handset and didn’t register
the handset,
UNREGISTERED is displayed when the
phone turns on. To register the handset, see par. 8.3.
2.4 Using Handset Carrying Clip
The supplied handset carrying clip allows you to con-
veniently carry the handset with you. It clips easily to
your belt, waist band, or shirt pocket. ! Be sure that the clip is firmly locked to your pocket,
belt etc. otherwise your handset may fall and be
damaged
